Day’s Theme:
Continued Utah beauty on a relatively easy day.

Weather/Terrain:
Probably 100 again today, with slightly less wind and a downhill course for the most part.
The first 20 miles were on super smooth pavement and in a cool, windless stretch – pure enjoyment.
As the day progressed, the road, temperatures, and wind got a little worse…,.
We travelled up and over a few rises, and seemed to pass from greenery back into harsh desert.

How I feel:
Still very good.  Though, I feel like I’s like to sleep in…..

Notable Events:
Nothing to report from the road today, but 17 of us were “picked” for a quick jaunt to Arches National Park.  Breathtaking my friends – I will write that up separately!!

What’s Happening:

Leaving Price, we were greeted with cool, calm weather, and also a smooth fast road.
That’s Tom from CA on the move.

The first half of the day brought us some vegetation, and rugged mountains.

As we headed east, we had our only SAG along the road near this rock/dirt thing.

You MUST stay hydrated in the desert my friends – drink before you are thirsty!

Just Utah I guess – nice place.
I see myself returning to Utah……….

Jane and Gene trying to figure out why me, Rocket, Brian, and Jane climbed this little hill.
I did it because they did it.
I don’t know why they did it………

We started to see many canyon type formations as we closed in on Green River.

Gene, Jane, Mike, Virginia (behind Les),and Les enjoying a lunch at Ben’s Café in Green River, Utah.

The Rocket had his 2nd flat of the day.  I had one at 55 miles.
Angie and Brian and being quite helpful.  Not!

This is the Green River.
Was actually brown in color.
Whatever……….
